FAQ

  • Is therapy right for me?

Therapy can be helpful for anyone who wants support in navigating life’s challenges, big or small. You don’t have to bear things alone—therapy provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to be heard, explore your thoughts and feelings, and receive support on your healing journey.

  • How do I know if we're a good fit?

Therapists aren’t one-size-fits-all. Finding someone you feel connected to—someone who truly sees and hears you—is important. I’m happy to have a brief conversation to see if we might be a good fit. If it feels like a match, we can discuss what starting therapy would look like. If not, I’m glad to offer referrals to help you find the right support.

  • What is art therapy?

Art therapy is a form of psychotherapy that uses creative expression—like drawing, painting, or other art-making—to help process emotions, explore thoughts, and gain insight. For more art therapy-related Q & A, please visit my Art Therapy page.

  • Do you accept insurance?

I am an out-of-network (OON) provider, which means you may be able to receive partial reimbursement for therapy. Many clients with out-of-network benefits are reimbursed approximately 50–80% of the session fee once any deductible is met, but reimbursement depends on your specific plan and is not guaranteed. You can check your benefits and potential reimbursement on my Insurance page.

  • What does therapy cost?

The fee for a 50-minute session is $225 and is due at the time of service.

To help make therapy more accessible, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee slots. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss options.

  • What payment methods do you accept?

Sessions are usually paid by credit card, debit card, or HSA/FSA card using a a HIPAA-secure platform. Reach out if you’d like to discuss other payment options.
