Specialized Therapy for Adults Ready to Reclaim Their Self-Worth

Offering safe, relational, and attachment-focused virtual therapy for people-pleasers, boundary-strugglers, and thoughtful, sensitive adults throughout New York.

Self-worth isn't about "fixing" yourself. It's about remembering who you are.

When early emotional needs go unmet, we learn to survive by making ourselves small. We become experts at people-pleasing, ignoring our boundaries, and doubting our gut feelings.

Does this sound familiar?

  • You feel responsible for other people’s moods.

  • You attract partners who are emotionally unavailable.

  • "No" feels like a guilt trip waiting to happen.

Therapy is the process of unlearning these old protections so you can feel secure, grounded, and confident in your own skin.

In our work together, we won’t just try to “boost” your confidence.

Through gently exploring the patterns you find yourself repeating, the parts of you that over-function or over-accommodate, and the younger experiences that shaped how you relate, you may begin to notice a shift.

You may start to:

  • Trust your instincts

  • Set boundaries without overwhelming guilt

  • Choose relationships that feel mutual

  • Stay grounded when closeness feels uncertain

Over time, confidence naturally grows as a byproduct of self-trust and understanding yourself more deeply.

Hi, I’m Alexandra Sechler, LCAT, ATR-BC.

I help sensitive, thoughtful adults reclaim their voice and self-worth.

If you often over-accommodate others or doubt your own instincts to stay connected, you aren't "broken." You likely developed these strategies as intelligent ways to stay safe when your emotional needs weren't being met.

In our sessions, we move beyond "talking about" the problem to creating real internal shifts. My approach is:

  • Relational & Collaborative: We work as a team to understand your patterns.

  • Attachment-Focused: We explore how early relationships shape your current world.

  • IFS & Somatic-Informed: We work with both the mind and the body's felt sense to build lasting self-trust.

Together, we’ll build the kind of self-trust that lets you finally exhale and feel at home in yourself.
